Baby, It’s Cold Outside

I woke up today and realized…winter is here!

Gosh, when did that happen? I immediately took to whipping up a pair of cabled mittens.

This is a really fast knit.  It has taken me a few hours (with distractions) to knit.
Cabled Mittens
Here are the mittens. I am using two balls of yarn so the mittens are thick and warm. I have finished the right mitten and I am completing the second one now.

Note that I have the thumb stitches on a piece of scrap yarn until I am
ready to knit the thumb. Also note that I am using a set of four DPNs.
