Thank god it’s Thursday and I am finished knitting my lace-weight pullover. I named it beachcomber because of the watery blues and natural cream colors together, like little waves lapping a beach.
I am in love with the romantic eyelet and ruffle edge though I really freaked out about my decision during the process. It was tough and I don’t know if I’ll ever do another ruffle with 1200+ stitches again.
This is one of my favorite things I’ve ever knitted. I guess that’s because it is different. Most of my knits are so structured or fitted or have hardware snaps or something. This is so opposite of all that. It is flowy and fluttery and lacy and summery.
The funny thing about it is I think I am most in love with how much yarn I have left! I only used two hanks, one in cream and one in blue.
It may not look like much but this is about half the yarn that I started with! I can’t believe it, I’m gonna get two pullovers out of two hanks of yarn! Two quote Syndrome from the Incredibles, “This is just too good!”
