Taking a short break from baby blanket knitting to finish up this short-sleeved cabled sweater.
I nicknamed it “Snow White”. It was pure joy knitting this sweater in Nashua Handknits Cilantro (unfortunately I think this line is discontinued) in bright white that I purchased from Idea Studio Knits in La Grange, IL. This yarn is a wonderfully stretchy cotton/acrylic mix and let me tell you…cables were made for this yarn.
This sweater was knit in pieces which is not my normal method but it was much easier laying out the cable design (especially on the sleeves) and shaping in pieces than in a single knitted piece.
I really love this sweater and can’t wait to wear it. I am less impressed with my photography skills. Maybe that’s what I’ll work on next…after the baby blanket that is!
